The following terms and conditions apply to projects undertaken by Penguin Book Publishers and to your use of www.penguinebookpublisher.com.

Copyright

You will hold full copyright to the content that we develop for you and deliver as per the agreed terms, unless your written agreement with us provides otherwise. We will not claim copyright on work delivered to you under the agreed scope, and you may publish and use it as set out in your service agreement and applicable law.

Payment

We charge in accordance with the package or proposal you accept. For many services, full or partial payment in advance may be required as stated at checkout or in your contract. All transaction fees and taxes (as applicable) are the responsibility of the client unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Revisions

Revisions are offered as described in your order or service agreement. Generally, a reasonable number of revisions on delivered work may be available within a stated period after delivery (for example, within 7 or 14 days of delivery, depending on the project), and in special cases as specified in your contract. Revision requests are typically completed according to the urgency of the order, with standard minimum turnaround as communicated for your project.

Indicative turnaround for revisions by urgency (where applicable to your service tier):

  • For orders with up to 24 hours of urgency, revision turnaround may be up to 24 hours.
  • For orders between 24–48 hours of urgency, revision turnaround may be up to 48 hours.
  • For orders with 48 hours and above of urgency, revision turnaround may be up to 72 hours.

Specific revision counts and timeframes in your written agreement take precedence over this general description.

Project requirements

Project requirements are discussed and confirmed with you before or at the start of work. Disputes about service levels are addressed based on the agreed terms and requirements at the beginning of the project, these terms and conditions, and reasonable business practices.

Refund policy

Please read our refund terms carefully. Refunds, when offered, are subject to the conditions in your service agreement and company policies.

Refunds or credits may be limited or void in situations including, without limitation, the following (as applicable to your case):

  • You have chosen a special or custom package with terms that exclude a standard refund.
  • You have requested work beyond the scope of the original agreement or initial concepts, as defined in your order.
  • The customer has not responded or has been unresponsive for an extended period without notice, as defined in the agreement.
  • The project is placed on hold at your request, which may affect refund eligibility.
  • Company policies or the agreement have been violated.
  • The creative brief is missing required information on your end.
  • Reasons that do not relate to the service provided (e.g. change of mind) may not qualify for a refund, as stated in your agreement.
  • Once you have approved or accepted multiple rounds of deliverables in line with the contract, refunds may no longer apply.
  • Where a 100% refund is offered before work has started, that applies only if stated in your specific order and before writers or editors have begun the project.

Any refund that may be available will be determined according to the written terms of your order and our formal refund policy at the time of purchase.
